We are so proud to announce that MYS Executive Director Louise Waxler has been chosen to receive the United Soccer Coaches Honor Award. Louise is the 84th recipient of the Honor Award, which is awarded in recognition of a career of meritorious service to the association and outstanding contributions to soccer in multiple areas and levels of the game.
The Honor Award has been presented annually since 1942 and is the most prestigious accolade to be awarded by the United Soccer Coaches association. Louise has been a member of the association since 1990, and has served in a variety of roles, including Youth At-Large representative, Women’s Committee Chairperson, Executive Committee member, Youth Coach of the Year Chair, and Foundation committee member. In 2006, Louise became the 58th President of the association (formerly NSCAA), the third female president in the association’s then 69-year history.
