McLean Youth Soccer provides Travel level players will specific additional training opportunities throughout the seasonal year including Goalkeeper Training, MPS Pre-Season Camp, MPS Travel Training, Travel Team Skills, and winter outdoor Performance Travel Training for field and goalkeepers. Advanced Travel Training - Winter 2022-2023
This exciting outdoor winter program, led by Programs Director and Travel program coach Jamil Faryadi, is designed for current boys and girls travel program players ages U9-U15 to assist in developing their technical skills and tactical awareness of the game. The sessions will help our young athletes with the mastery of the ball through fun, challenging, and constant decision making activities. Not only they will develop their skills but also their decision making process on the pitch as well. Players who participate will improve their coordination, body control, speed of thoughts, agility, and most importantly field awareness.
**Maximum of 100 current travel players can register.**

Goalkeeper Advanced Travel Training - Winter 2022-2023
The sessions have been designed to address the situations that currently occur during matches. The goalkeepers will be taught and trained in the techniques needed and placed into match-related situations. The goalkeepers will be challenged to master the art of goalkeeping through fun, challenging and constant decision-making activities.
The goalkeepers will develop their technical and decision-making process on the pitch while also improving their coordination, body control, speed of thought, agility, and field awareness.
Co-Ed OUTDOOR sessions on Mondays
Sessions runs 60 minutes

Each of the match situations above will be addressed - how to execute the correct technique/s, prepare, and make the correct decisions

Future U9 Travel Training - Winter 2023
Our MYS professional coaching staff is excited to offer additional, supplemental U8 Only (for players born in 2015) outdoor training during the Winter season for current Juniors Program players and all U8 Recreation players who may be interested. Training sessions will be led by our Juniors Program Co-Directors Ryan Sellers and Jose Venegas. The primary training focus will be to develop the player's skills through individual and group training activities which allow players to assert their creativity and build their confidence in taking on players 1v1 and to understand their role in small group training such as 2v2 and 3v3.

Travel Team Skills Training - Fall 2022
For travel teams, ages U13-U15, whose club fees do not include the Monday Night MPS Training (teams designated with the colors White and Gold), MYS offers OPTIONAL Travel Training for the fall and spring seasons. This training is in addition to your team's regular practices and must be paid for separately of team registration for a fee of $150 per player.
If at least 12 players from a team have registered, the sessions will be scheduled for the team, and the team will be notified by the start date. If there are not sufficient players registered, the session will be canceled and your fees will be refunded.
