Join our Summer League! The Watermelon Cup is a summer soccer program that provides an informal and fun opportunity for both recreation and travel players to stay active throughout the summer and before the Fall soccer season begins. The program mirrors our winter Pumpkin League where players can participate  on the scheduled dates they are  available. The Watermelon Cup is designed to foster enjoyment of the game, player development, and sportsmanship in an informal soccer environment.

Program Structure

  • MYS staff will divide the players into teams each week to encourage sportsmanship, participation, and competitiveness among all participants.
  • MYS staff will supervise each session to ensure a safe, competitive, and enjoyable environment for all players.
  • Players bring a ball, shin guards, and wear a white/light colored shirt to each session.

  • June 17 & 24
  • July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29

Location: MYS Holladay Field in McLean

Fee: $85

Age Groups & Times: *Rising age groups - both recreation and travel players are eligible.*

  • U9-U10 Boys - Wednesdays 5:45-6:45pm
  • U11-U14 Boys - Wednesdays 5:45-6:45pm
  • U15-U19 Boys - Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm
  • U9-U10 Girls - Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm
  • U11-U14 Girls - Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm
  • U15-U19 Girls - Wednesdays 7:00-8:00pm

Eligibility:

    • U9 August 1, 2017 - July 31, 2018
    • U10 August 1, 2016 - July 31, 2017
    • U11 August 1, 2015 - July 31, 2016
    • U12 August 1, 2014 - July 31, 2015
    • U13 August 1, 2013 - July 31, 2014
    • U14 August 1, 2012 - July 31, 2013
    • U15 August 1, 2011 - July 31, 2012
    • U16 August 1, 2010 - July 31, 2011
    • U17 August 1, 2009 - July 31, 2010
    • U18 August 1, 2008 - July 31, 2009
    • U19 August 1, 2007 - July 31, 2008

Cancellations, Reschedules, and Refunds:

  • Reschedules for any weather related cancellations will occur only if there is field availability to reschedule in August.
  • Reschedules are NOT guaranteed as a result of weather related cancellations.
  • Refunds will be processed only in accordance with the club refund policy.
