Vision

McLean Youth Soccer will be a model club known nationally for developing players at all levels, creating a culture of inclusion, innovation and excellence, and positively impacting our community.

Mission

McLean Youth Soccer provides opportunities for all players to reach their full potential in sport and in life through participation in soccer.

  • Enhance player satisfaction with all facets of MYSA
  • Increase numbers of participants by 10% over the next three years
  • Facilitate player pathways based on performance and motivation
  • Provide the most effective and latest instruction in performance and skill-based training

Coach and Volunteer Development

  • Improve volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
  • Review coaching education guidelines and opportunities for development
  • Enhance parent satisfaction with all facets of MYS

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Explore growth and efficiencies via partnerships, merger and acquisition
  • Enhance staff satisfaction
  • Conduct an annual review all MYS policies and governing documents
  • Develop reserve fund policy and philosophy of spending
  • Conduct annual review of current data collection tools and practices
  • Maintain long-term financial stability and viability
  • Maximize board effectiveness

Advancement and Community Engagement

  • Continue to support financial aid for all qualifying players
  • Create endowment to serve long-term financial viability
  • Renew focus on individual donors
  • Investigate comprehensive campaign with the following priorities:
  • Enhance sponsorship platform and support
  • Explore foundation support

Marketing Communications and Promotion

  • Create marketing communications plan for external stakeholders (e.g., potential donors, general community) to increase awareness and educate
  • Create communications plan for internal stakeholders (e.g., parents, players, coaches, volunteers, referees) with goal of more efficient and effective communications
  • Continually update website for content and layout
  • Enhance social media presence

Facilities

  • Build or secure existing clubhouse
  • Enhance existing infrastructure at Lewinsville Park
  • Secure and maintain field rights
  • Upgrade current fields
