Associate Executive Director Tim Ryerson created the program Get on the Bus (GOTB) in 2017 to break down financial and transportation barriers so kids can play recreational soccer on a team in their community, while also learning valuable life skills and good study habits through this free after school program. Recently Tim secured funding to launch a chapter with McLean Youth Soccer here in Fairfax County. Get on the Bus will work in conjunction with the Virginia Youth Soccer Association and will be using US Soccer Federation Innovate to Grow Fund Grant money to launch multiple chapters over the next three years. We are so excited to see the impact this program will have on our community!
