If MYS cancels a camp, fees will be refunded in part or in whole.
McLean Youth Soccer offers extensive summer soccer camp options from June 17 through August 12 at various turf fields in the McLean area. MYS offers something for each player, recreation to elite level, and provides a fun and focused way of developing skills.
Back by popular demand, MYS will host Specialty Camps in partnership with ECNL Boys and Girls, Coerver, theCoderSchool, and new for this summer Brit-Am. Players wishing to participate in the Coerver Camps must register directly with Coerver by clicking HERE.
McLean Youth Soccer strives to make soccer a pleasant, safe, and rewarding experience for soccer players on and off the field. The club has a firm belief in the value of sports in promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of soccer players. Our summer camps provide a fun, social, and developmental environment with training led by dedicated coaching staff.
Ages and Calendar
MYS offers camp programs for players ages 7 through 14 featuring age appropriate training of soccer skills in a fun environment. We operate under the philosophy that the game of soccer is the best teacher when played in an enjoyable setting. Coaches will enhance the learning process by providing campers the choice of activities, lots of encouragement, and a light touch on teaching new skills.
You do not need to be a member of MYS to attend. New members will need to create an account when registering.

MYS Half-Day Summer Camps - NEW CURRICULUM
Programs Director Michael Newhall and Camp Director Walter Bustamante have over 20 years combined experience running camps and have created a NEW CURRICULUM for our MYS Half-Day camps to include weekly and daily camp topics and themes including:
Daily Topic - Each day of the week will focus on a different aspect of the game - examples are Finishing Day, 1v1 Day, and Overloads Day
Skill of the Day - Regardless of the daily topic each day the campers will be taught a new skill!
Challenge of the Day - Each day will provide a challenge that will allow the campers to compete with each other individually (for example - Crossbar Challenge or PK Challenge) or as a team (for example - World Cup Day or how many one touch passes in a row can you get) for a possible PRIZE!
T-Shirt Theme - We encouraged campers to wear certain colors/jerseys/MYS apparel on different days throughout the week.
Camp training will also include:
- Focus on developing the fundamental skills of soccer and principles of team play.
- Foundational skills: dribbling, ball control, turning, shooting, and passing.
- Develop player coordination, physical skills, and social interaction.
- Develops player technical skills and tactical knowledge of the game.
- Build advanced foot and upper body skills - emphasizing creativity to beat an opponent.
- Advanced shooting, shielding, and receiving techniques.
Regardless of one's level of play, our camp counselors are trained to provide safe, challenging, and a FUN focused way of improving your player’s abilities. MYS offers something for everyone, and we look forward to you taking advantage of our outstanding staff and programs.

Times: Half-day options ONLY from 9 am-12 pm OR 1-4 pm **Campers can bring a lunch and stay at the field IF they are registered for both the AM and PM camp during the same week.**

U8-U10 7v7 Focus:
- Technical: Ball Control, Dribbling, Passing & Shooting Techniques
- Tactical: Teaching the 7v7 game emphasizing (1-3-2-1, 1-2-3-1) systems
- Teaching will be focused on 2v2 and 3v3 small-sided games
- Other Activities over the 4 days:
- Monday - Crossing & finishing
- Tuesday - Building from the back (using the Build out line)
- Wednesday - Pressing from the build out line
- Thursday - Corner kicks, throw-ins, goal kicks
U11-U12 9v9 Focus:
- Technical: Ball control, dribbling, passing & shooting techniques
- Tactical: Teaching the 9v9 game emphasizing (1-3-4-1, 1-2-4-2) systems
- Teaching will be focused on 4v3 and 5v4 small sided games & rondos
- Other Activities over the 4 days:
- Monday - Crossing & finishing
- Tuesday - Building from the back (using GK & 2 defenders & 3 defenders)
- Wednesday - Pressing with attackers to win the ball in opposing team's defensive third
- Thursday - Working on the width of field
Goalkeeper Camp
This goalkeeper camp is designed specifically for U9-U15 (Birth Years 2016-2010) boys and girls that want to learn how to play the position correctly and safely. You do not have to be a "full-time" goalkeeper to attend the camp.The camp will be led by the club's Director of Goalkeeping John Szaro. You will learn the basic goalkeeping techniques in order to confidently enjoy playing one of the most demanding positions in soccer.

Goalkeeping & Finishing Camp
This camp is designed and run by Director of Goalkeeping John Szaro and is for players of all levels who are serious about improving their ability to help win games for their team. The camp program will focus on developing each goalkeeper’s technical, tactical and physical component of the game. And will focus on teaching the proper techniques of shooting and effective ways to finish, teaching players to understand the difference between shooting and finishing. Players will learn how to implement the proper shooting techniques in game-like scenarios, thus enabling players to improve their ability to score at a high rate.

Total Futbol Residential Camps
MYS is partnering with Total Futbol (TF) Camps to provide travel players with summer residential camp options in Deep Creek, MD. These 4-day camps include technical and tactical training, whitewater rafting, bonfires, and more. All MYS travel players can save $50 during registration if you register by April 30!

Kick 'N Code Camp
Back by popular demand! For the second summer, McLean Youth Soccer is offering a full day summer camp in conjunction with theCoderSchool! This camp blends together an action-packed morning of soccer and an exciting afternoon of educational coding. The full day experience runs from 9am-4pm. The camp is for children with birth years 2018-2012.
Campers will need to be dropped off each morning at the Police Field (Government Center, Balls Hill Road) to KICK off a morning of soccer training and fun.
Campers will then be transported to theCoderSchool in McLean for an afternoon spent learning coding skills and will CODE the day away until 4 pm.
Transportation to theCoderSchool will be provided, but campers must be picked up at the school by a parent or guardian promptly at 4pm.
**Spots for this cool coding camp are limited to 12 players per session– register early!
