Tim Ryerson

Associate Executive Director

Tim is holding a new position with MYS as Associate Executive Director. Tim brings to the club vast experience in youth soccer having been a player, coach, and director holding a National D license and MLS Next Culture Coordinator Certificate. In 2014, Tim started a new club, Ellicott City Soccer Club, in Howard County, Maryland. During that first year 750 players attended the first tryout with Tim hiring all the staff, negotiating an Adidas contract, finding a retailer, setting up a registration platform, finding facilities, and joining leagues with 31 teams.  

Tim also founded Ryerson Soccer Consulting in 2018 and began commuting to California and started working with Ballistic United. Tim raised over $500,000 in donations, sponsorships and grants in his short time with Ballistic. In addition to development, Tim served as  the Recreational Director and ultimately General Manager, responsible for all programs the club offers including MLSNeXT, 40 Competitive teams, 850 Recreational players, a Futsal program and the 500 player Adult League. Tim was also responsible for creating and implementing the Strategic Direction of the club during and after Covid. He earned his undergrad degree in Sports and Business MGMT from UMBC and masters degree in MGMT at University of Redlands. 

Tim also began the Get on the Bus (“GOTB”) sports based youth development program which breaks down financial and transportation barriers so that kids can play recreational soccer on a team in their community, while ensuring participants have an opportunity to learn valuable life skills, good study habits, and access to healthy snacks; all while ensuring Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB).
